Canada Calls Back Diplomats After UN Bid

Canada ordered back its heads of mission in Israel and Ramallah, as well as its envoys to the United Nations and Geneva, after the Palestinian Authority’s bid for an upgraded status at the United Nations was passed with a large majority <http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/162688> .
He also said that he was impressed with the results from Canadian aid to the PA government in Judea and Samaria, a suggestion that Ottawa will not cut it off completely. Canada has provided $300-million in aid over the past five years.
“It is for these reasons that Canada is voting against this resolution,” Baird said. “As a result of this body’s utterly regrettable decision to abandon policy and principle, we will be considering all available next steps.”

Israel Withholds Tax Revenues from PA.

Israel will not transfer the funds it collects for the Palestinian Authority (PA) this month and possibly more in response to the PA’s successful bid for upgraded UN status, Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said on Sunday.
“I have no intention of transferring the taxes due to the Palestinian Authority . Instead they will be used to pay the Palestinian Authority’s debts to the Israeli electricity company,” he said . Steinitz’s spokeswoman told AFP that Israel normally transfers 460 million shekels ($120 million) per month before deductions. According to the spokeswoman, the Palestinians owed Israel’s electricity company some 800 million shekels ($209.7 million).
… Lieberman said, “I hear people saying that Israel freezes taxes that are Palestinian money. We do not freeze any Palestinian money.”
“”What we are doing now and will continue to do for the next four months is taking back our money, not their money,” emphasized Lieberman. ”

Soldiers, Police Seize Illegal Weapons Hidden in Negev Sheep Pen

A crack IDF team, along with several police units, has discovered and confiscated a cache of illegal weapons. The weapons were discovered in a sheep pen in the Bedouin village of Hura in the Negev. A number of residents of the town were taken into custody.
The weapons were found in several sacks hidden inside the pen. Among the weapons were M-16 rifles and dozens of cartridges for them. Other weapons were found as well.
The owner of the pen said that he had no idea that the weapons were there, nor did he know how they got there. He was being questioned by security officials, and is currently in custody. Investigators said that it was unlikely that the owner of the pen would not have come across the sacks.
Last week, IDF soldiers arrested a terror suspect in Hevron who had a weapons warehouse in a private home. First Lieutenant Erez Korach said that troops searched the home and found “a large quantity of weapons and ammunition. They had everything: pistols, ammunition for sniper rifles, M-16s and more.” Korach said his unit has been conducting such arrests “at least three times a week.”

Set Precedent Divorce for Homosexual ?
In a precedent decision, which will undoubtedly be considered good news for all Israeli same-sex couples, especially those who aren’t getting along so much any more, a family court in Ramat Gan allowed the couple Prof. Uzi Even and Dr. Amit Kama, both men, to divorce, Ynet reports.
In the ruling, first of its kind, the judge determined that the family court is “the natural forum, the proper forum in which to hear this kind of a divorce case, since the rabbinical court does not recognize same-sex marriages and views them as sinful.”. Even was the first openly gay man elected to the Knesset. The two have adopted Yossi, a 30-year-old man who had been living with them for almost 14 years. That adoption-although largely symbolic, given their son’s age-was also a ground breaking family court case.
Even and Kama were married in Canada and their status was changed to married by the Israeli interior ministry….

At least we know what time and season we are in! Our hearts sink to read such a thing happening in Israel… A Nation that is supposed to lead the Nations? The evil one raises up top people in the government at times to breakdown the image and function of man, woman and family . This is a sin against YHVH Elohim= I Am Creator God. Sad that Canada is mentioned as being the place where these men made their plan possible. Let us intercede for both nations on this matter, as well your nation if this is also the case. ‘State must recognize non-Orthodox denominations’

Leading national-religious Rabbi Yuval Cherlow says state should give political recognition to all Jews to strengthen Jewish identity.
Leading national-religious personality Rabbi Yuval Cherlow has called for state recognition of non-Orthodox Jewish denominations as a means of preventing their alienation from the Jewish state.Cherlow added, however, that this recognition should be political in nature and not on the basis of Jewish law. Cherlow, the dean of the Hesder Yeshiva of Petah Tikva, made his comments in a letter addressed to his students following his return from a visit to the US last week in which he spelled out his concern for the ongoing assimilation of Jews outside Israel and what he described as a decreasing sense of Jewish identity in the Diaspora.
According to the Rabbi, one reason for growing alienation of world Jewry from Israel is that the state does not recognize non-Orthodox streams “and the fact that they are not wanted here… and they don’t want to identify with a state that has a religious monopoly.”
Cherlow added that the perception of the Chief Rabbinate “adds fuel to the fire,” in this regard….

Thanks be to God that wise man are speaking up like this one and some others like him on the Supreme Court level as well in the Messianic Jewish Community. This is a serious matter, it is a stumbling block that stops Aliah=Return of the North Americans (6 millions) the Anusim…
(7 millions).. not to speak of more in all the other nations! Let us use the sword of the Spirit Ez. 36:24-28. The orthodox need to know that it is Adonai who converts the hearts not a man made religious organisation. We ask for repentance to come amongst the Orthodox community starting with the leadership!

The Vatican Welcomes Iran

Iran has a large diplomatic corps at the Vatican, considering that it is a Moslem country. And that is not all.
Hizbullah’s officials, the Shiite terrorist group based in Lebanon, were hosted in Rome by the Vatican during the recent ceremony for the election of six new cardinals. Among the new cardinals is the Lebanese Patriarch, Bechara Boutros Rai.
As head of Lebanon’s Catholic Church, Rai recently sent his envoy, Father Abdo Abou Kassem, to Teheran to attend a conference in support of the Palestinian Arab Intifada and of a “Zionist-free middle east”. The conference was attended also by Hizbullah ideologue, Mohammad Raad, and by the Hamas’ leader Khaled Meshaal.
The coming of an Hizbullah delegation in Rome these days is part of a strong friendship that the Vatican is building with Iranian authorities. It might also be an explanation why during his trip in Austria, Pope Benedict chose not to address the Iranian nuclear question in a key speech to world diplomats in Vienna, which is the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

In the first week of December we go into court to hear the verdict about the appeal we made regarding the trail for the building permits. On 19th of December we have a meeting with our attorney at the office of the regional building committee regarding the rezoning plan we submitted. I’ll explain more about the purpose of this meeting later so you can pray for it.
Relating to the previous topic of these trial. My husband shared with me that he recently met a man who lives and works on the kibbutz with which we are now partnering. This man works in the agricultural department. He is a farmer. He told me that this man looked very much like “the judge “..so he asked if he was his father. Sure enough, he is the father of the judge who judged us (not in the appeal but in the lengthy process of the first trial- that lasted several years). So it turns out that that judge is originally from this kibbutz. He too worked in the agricultural department as a young man. This man told him that his son had spoken about us. He had mentioned him over Shabbat dinner in their home. He had said that he felt bad to have to judge us. He wished he didn’t have to. He said that he never saw the prosecution being so much against someone in a case like ours. He felt we were doing a very valuable work and didn’t want to harm us, but since the case had been brought to court and since the prosecution (on behalf of the building committee- but basically controlled by the rabbis on the moshav) was pushing so hard, he has to judge us but tried to be as helpful as he could. I have not yet totally processed this new information, but know that it is of significance in some way, maybe to encourage, maybe for something else?

Wow this is overwhelming the Lord exposes all hidden things again and again praise HIM for his mighty acts. We do not understand all but we sure are praying for them …they are obeying God to make the DESERT NEGEV BLOOM ! God Loves obedience better then sacrifices …we ask that these keep walking in HIS will and be delivered from all their enemies be properous and in good health!
We ask for more believers to be raised up throughout the Negev region to farm the land and be absolutely successful be the head and not the tail ; too give glory to Him .

A court ruling penalizing the Israeli Messianic village of Yad Hashmonah (on Judean Mt near Jerusalem) for refusing to host a lesbian wedding has severely damaged the community’s main source of income, but has also opened the door to be an even greater witness to the Israeli public.
“Our business is suffering badly,” spokeswoman Ayelet Ronen told Israel Today. “We are firing people and cutting every expense possible.”
But that’s not the end of the story. At the same time, Ronen exclaimed, “God is really using this!”
“I have been flooded with calls from people wanting to know more about the situation, asking about our faith and offering moral support,” said Ronen.
This new wave of positive coverage, which has afforded Ronen numerous opportunities to witness directly to Israelis, started with a lengthy article in Makor Rishon, Israel’s leading religious newspaper.
The Makor Rishon piece was very positive, giving a bit of background on the Christian Zionist beginnings of Yad Hashmonah and fully siding with the village in its decision to turn down homosexual events on biblical grounds. Perhaps more importantly, however, this religious newspaper clearly identified Messianic Jews like Ronen and the residents of Yad Hashmonah as belonging firmly in the camp of Bible-believing, conservative Jews.
Israeli Messianics have struggled for decades with widespread accusations that their faith in Yeshua means they are no longer Jews. The reactions to the Yad Hashmonah issue are further evidence that this attitude is changing.
As for the village and the future of its primary business, Ronen said the recent media coverage had gotten the attention of a senior Israeli judge who feels that justice was not done in Yad Hashmonah’s case.
In the meantime, Yad Hashmonah is hoping to replace the loss of Israeli visitors with Christian groups visiting the country. Nestled in the hills just outside Jerusalem, Yad Hashmonah certainly offers a unique experience for Christians.

Include also the case in Aravah Desert our brother and his family is also waging a war of dispossession over the land , however two new possibilities are on the horizon more land applied in 2 different strategic places .
